Bedroom & Mobile - 1985 (including Raves, etc)
Professionally - 1990 (with contracts, etc)

What was the first record you bought

Probably a fucked up version of the Star Wars soundtrack. It was by Mecca and ruled at the time. I was about 8 years old (ahh bless)

Who influenced you to become a DJ

Nobody really. It was just a fun thing to do and allowed me to mess about with my favourite pastime - Messing about with music.

Who is your favourite DJ of all time

I think the most impressed I was with a DJ was Mike Pickering (M People). He could make what ever you were on feel ten times as great. A man who understood the build up.

If you weren't a DJ what would you have done

I would have gone to R.A.D.A and hopefully become an actor

What or where was the best set you ever played

Kaufluten in Zurich (1996) - Rude, sexy and fucking Mayhem.

What is the best venue you have ever played in

Montreaux Casino was mad, a bunch of castles, and Tresor in Berlin as a total head Fuck

What advice would you give to a new DJ starting out

Don't me mail me your 20 meg mix tapes as Mpeg files (aaarrrgggh). Seriously be original don't expect it to happen overnight. Work hard, befriend as many people in the business as you can.
