Intro

A website dedicated to UK garage and underground vocal house music.

"UKGarage in 2001, (worldwide) Garage music played and made the UK way. Artful Dodger, DJ Luck and MC Neat, MJ Cole, the Dreem Teem, it matters not how you label it, the popular appeal still exists. More pleasing is the different styles exhibited by all, the aforementioned artistes (and many more - see DJ Profiles) play Garage of all types the "UK way" underlining what UKGarage is truly about.

For those not aware of past, UKGarage was never one type of sound, but an amalgam of many others. US Garage classics, blended with the best sounds of the UK led to the rise of a true underground "Dance Floor" vibe. The media, the forces of commercialism, and the across the board appeal led to underground tag quickly fading and the "UKGarage" brand becoming the street sound of the new millennium (Ok, for 2000 and 2001).

Midway through the first half of 2001 the UKGarage bandwagon rolls on. The ideals of old are making a welcome return. The vocals are back (along with the popularity of the US sound), the quality of production is getting back to its best, the belief has returned. UKGarage is maturing and hopefully learning from the mistakes of the past. This site exists to keep you in touch. Keep the feedback coming, we will try to embrace your changes. Check the frequently updated DJ Profiles to understand why the current DJ "cream of the crop" do what they do.
